Shining Star Program
The Miss South Dakota Shining Star Program is not a competition, but rather an opportunity for young girls between the ages of 5-12 to gain self-confidence, mentoring, and lasting friendships. The 2025 Shining Star program will be held on Saturday, May 31, as part of the 2025 Miss South Dakota competition on the SDSU campus in Brookings.
The cost to participate is $125 and includes:
* Crowning Ceremony
* Official Miss SD Shining Star crown
* Official Miss SD Shining Star sash
* Official Miss SD Shining Star sash
* Official Miss SD Shining Star t-shirt
* Complimentary Headshot
* Complimentary Photos
* Activities & events with delegates
* Special onstage performance during the final competition of Miss South Dakota Saturday, May 31st
* 1 complimentary ticket to watch the 2025 Miss South Dakota final competition on Saturday, May 31st
Deadline to register and be included in the program book is April 30th, 2025.
Deadline to register to participate and NOT be included in the program book is May 16th, 2025.
