The Miss South Dakota Shining Star Program is not a competition, but rather an opportunity for young girls between the ages of 5-12 to gain self-confidence, mentoring, and lasting friendships.

The Shining Starts Program will be held as part of the 2027 Miss South Dakota competition on the SDSU campus in Brookings. More details will be shared here as they become available.
