Meet Briley

I am Briley Steffensen a 17-year-old, small town South Dakota girl. I’m ecstatic to represent South Dakota as your Miss South Dakota’s Teen 2024!

My message, Be True 2 You, explains the importance of movement to your Mental Health. I’ve been with this system since I was 5 years old in the little sister program and got to watch as my sister was crowned Miss South Dakota’s Teen 2019! I’ve been competing for the past five years and I’m so blessed to have this opportunity of a lifetime.

I’ve had the opportunity to impact my own hometown community, but now I will be able to expand my reach statewide and work towards my goal of connecting with all 80 Girls on the Run programs in South Dakota.

The pillars of the Miss America Opportunity (MAO) are service, style, scholarship, success, and sisterhood. The one I connect with the most is style. MAO helped my own style blossom and has been a big part of my life the past year, which gave me the courage to apply for the Scandinavian School of Fashion Design (SSFD). I’m excited to say I have been accepted and come July 2025 I will be attending SSFD in Copenhagen Denmark!

As Miss South Dakota’s Teen I will continue to run miles to spread awareness on the importance of Mental Health and Authenticity statewide and beyond!
